On this screen you'll find something a little different: an animated short film — a modern retelling of St Margaret Mary's story, set in the Hong Kong of today.
The film is not a documentary. The story it tells is not literally true. What we have tried to keep true is the heart of it — a soul who feels unseen, who suffers quietly, and who discovers that she has been loved all along.
We took creative liberties. On screen, Margaret stays a little girl from beginning to end; the real St Margaret Mary fell gravely ill at around nine years old and carried her crosses well into adulthood. The city, the faces, the details — all reimagined.
As you watch, see if you can spot the echoes of her real story, the one you've walked through in the stations before this. Perhaps her story is not so far from yours.
